What is the best way to teach sight words to a kindergartner?
Help!! What is the best way to teach sight words? My son who is in kindergarten just came home with a note saying they will be beginning to learn their sight words. (2 a week). This week they are learning I & am.
2 a week should be easy. flash cards are a good idea, and reading to them.
but to make it fun, go over the sight words, then take one of his books and see if he can spot the sight words on the pages. it turns it into a scavenger hunt game.
